The AVR-S650H is the least expensive model in Denon’s 2019 home theater receiver lineup. But this value-packed unit still offers plenty of fun features our customers appreciate, like app control, flexible wireless streaming, and a turntable input. It even works with popular voice control products from Google and Amazon.
Ideal for small- to medium-sized rooms
At 75 watts per channel, the ‘S650H is a great choice for powering bookshelf, in-ceiling, and in-wall speakers in a small- or medium-sized room.
If you have big floor-standing speakers, or are filling a large room with sound, consider the more powerful 7-channel AVR-S950H.
Enjoy music your way
The ‘S650H lets you stream tunes from your phone or tablet through Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and even Apple AirPlay 2. And if you’ve carefully curated an awesome music library, you can play high-resolution tracks from a USB drive or networked computer.
This receiver even has a built-in phono input for your turntable, which is way cool, since it’s not a feature I typically see on “entry level” receivers.
Expand your system with HEOS Built-in
HEOS Built-in technology lets you access all of your music — from your personal library, internet radio, and popular streaming services like Pandora®, Spotify®, and TIDAL — through the ‘S650H.
This receiver can be easily integrated into a wireless multi-room audio system as well. Stream music to HEOS wireless speakers and components in different rooms, and control each room’s sound independently with the free HEOS app.
The app lets you control playback, browse music sources, and select which rooms you want to use. Play the same music throughout your home, or listen to something different in each room.
Just ask Alexa…
The HEOS Home Entertainment skill for Amazon Alexa lets you use your Echo devices to issue voice commands to the ‘S650H. You can easily switch inputs and control volume and playback on the receiver and other HEOS enabled devices.
Alexa can also help you search for music and stream different content to different rooms in your multi-room HEOS system.
Google Assistant
The ‘S650H is also compatible with Google Assistant-enabled devices. Launch a song in the HEOS app, and then ask your Google Home or Google Pixel phone to change volume, play, pause, skip tracks, and more.
